Error description

• Restoring a VM to the original location or an alternate
  datastore can fail with:
  ANS9365E VMware vStorage API error for virtual machine 'IBMVM1'.
     TSM function name : visdkCreateVM
     TSM file          : vmvisdk.cpp (4902)
     API return code   : 67
     API error message : Invalid datastore path
  '[XIV_1234_TIVOLI]'.
  ANS5250E An unexpected error was encountered.
     TSM function name : vmCreateNewVmMachine
     TSM function      : Can not create virtual machine
     TSM return code   : 4389
     TSM file          : ..\..\common\vm\vmcommonrestvddk.cpp

  ANS4177E Full VM restore of VMware Virtual Machine 'IBMVM1'
  failed with RC=4389 target node name='IBM', data mover node
  name='IBM_DM'
  In this example the datastore "XIV_1234_TIVOLI" is not the
  actual datastore name. The datastore name is
  "XIV_1234_TIVOLI_DATASTORE1"
  The name is being truncated during the restore.
  Recreate:
  1) Create a Vmware datastore name such as
  "XIV_1234_TIVOLI_DATASTORE1"
  Note: To recreate this issue the datastore name must have only
  10 characters after the last underscore.
  2) Backup the VM.
  3) Restore the VM to original location.
  This will fail with the above error.
  Examples of datastore names that will exhibit this problem:
  TIVOLI_DATASTORE1
  IBM_TIVOLI_DATASTORE1
  Examples of datastore names that WILL NOT exhibit this problem:
  IBM_TIVOLI_DATASTORE01
  IBM_DATASTORE1_TIVOLI
  IBM_TIVOLI_DATASTORE_01

Local fix

• 1 - Restore the VM to a datastore that does not contain 10
  characters after the last underscore "_".
  2 - Rename an existing datastore so that it does not contain 10
  characters after the last underscore.
