Error description
WebSphere MQ V7 channel is delaying on its start when an inbound channel request comes in. After the delayed start the rest of the communication works fine. There are no errors in the MQ logs, only a successful channel start message.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: Users of MQ 7.1 and 7.5 on Windows. Platforms affected: Windows **************************************************************** PROBLEM SUMMARY: Later versions of MQ was performing a reverse DNS lookup at channel start to get the hostname information to print in error logs if an error is encountered during communication. In case of MQ 701 this lookup was performed only during error condition. Presence of firewalls could make this calls expensive and hence delays were encountered during channel start in such cases.
Problem conclusion
The reverse DNS lookup calls were moved down the code to be made only when an error is encountered instead of being called at all times at the start of communication.
