APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Backup image of a volume with "/dev/" in the path will switch to
  using static image backup.
  
  On AIX, using volume called
  /volab/cdef/dev/ghij noting "/dev/" in the path, the backup
  image command reports:
  
  
  Image backup of volume '/volab/cdef/dev/ghij'
  
  0516-306 lslv: Unable to find  ab/cdef/dev/ghij in the Device
  
          Configuration Database.
  
  0516-306 lslv: Unable to find  ab/cdef/dev/ghij in the Device
  
          Configuration Database.
  
  Unable to take a JFS2 snapshot for volume
  '/volab/cdef/dev/ghij'.
  
  Operation will be performed without using a snapshot.
  
  The backup image is still successful using after it switches to
  static image backup.
  
  
  Tivoli Storage Manager Versions Affected:
  Tivoli Storage Manager Client 5.5, 6.1, 6.2, 6.3 and 6.4 on all
  supported UNIX clients

Local fix

• If  snapshot image backup is required, then
  re-name the volume, so there will be no "/dev/" symbols in the
  path.
