Error description

  • When using an HTTP document cache with RESTful Invalidation
    enabled in the Document Cache Policy, the DataPower appliance
    might restart, generating a backtrace.
    

Local fix

  • Disable document cache.
    

Problem summary

  • Affected are DataPower configurations with document cache
    enabled, for exasmple in Document Cache Policy tab of XML
    Manager.
    
    In some situations when cached documents are replaced, for
    example when using "RESTful Invalidation" option, the appliance
    may restart, generating a backtrace.
    
    This is due to a programming error in the implementation of
    document cache.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The fix is available in 6.0.0.3.
