APAR status

Error description

• The Tivoli Storage Manager client on Linux fails with
  "ANS1017E Session rejected: TCP/IP connection failure"
  - and -
  "ANS9020E Could not establish a session with a TSM server or
  client agent.  The TSM return code is -50."
  
  messages when using COMMMETHOD V6TCPIP and non-numeric zone
  identifier/indices for the TCPSERVERADDRESS option, like
  TCPSERVERADDRESS fe80::15%eth1. When using a numeric zone
  identifier/index (e.g. TCPSERVERADDRESS fe80::15%2) the problem
  does not occur.
  
  Customer/L2 Diagnostics:
  The dsm.sys may contain the following entries for the used
  server stanza:
  COMMMETHOD       V6TCPIP
  TCPSERVERADDRESS  fe80::15%eth1
  
  A strace of the failing process shows that the specified device
  name in the TCPSERVERADDRESS is changed to uppercase characters:

  socket(PF_FILE, SOCK_DGRAM|SOCK_CLOEXEC, 0) = 5
  ioctl(5, SIOCGIFINDEX, {ifr_name="ETH1", ???}) = -1 ENODEV (No

  The operating system is not able to find this device which leads
  to the seen behavior.
