Error description

  • Types included in a map file which are defined inline as part of
    a .wsdl file are not extracted from that file correctly by
    TransformTypeHelper, resulting in the following NPE:
    
    Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException

    at
    com.ibm.wbiserver.transform.util.TransformTypeHelper.transformTy

Problem summary

    USERS AFFECTED:
    Users of IBM WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus, WebSphere Process
    Server and Business Process Manager who use types defined in
    inline schema as part as input to XSLT.
    
    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
    Types defined in inline schema are not extracted prior to XSLT
    mediation primitive transformation. This results in a
    NullPointerException like the following:
    
    Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException
    at
    com.ibm.wbiserver.transform.util.TransformTypeHelper.wrapTypes(T
    ransformTypeHelper.java:115)
    at
    com.ibm.wbiserver.transform.util.TransformTypeHelper.transformTy
    pes(TransformTypeHelper.java:297)
    
    The code dealing with transform types was altered to correct the
    issue.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The code was altered to extract input types from .wsdl files
    as well as .xsd files.
    
    This code fix was targeted to be included in the following fix
    packs:
