Error description

  • An enhancement has been requested to Export/Import any of the
following existing components within Sterling Integrator:
    - Mailbox Metadata
    - Web Services Description Language (WSDL)
    - Connect:Direct Service(s)
Furthermore, the corresponding Export/Import processes need to
    be accessible from:
    1) A business process.
    2) The graphical user interface (UI).
    3) The command-line interface.
    Additionally,
EXPORT / IMPORT of MAILBOX METADATA will include:
    1) PERMISSIONS
    2) USERS and GROUPS
    3) The option to omit the USER.
    4) If the USER isn't found during IMPORT when the REFERENCES
are set up, then a warning message will be included within the
    IMPORT REPORT.
EXPORT / IMPORT of Connect : Direct service instances will
    include:
    1) The SERVICE INSTANCE DATA
    2) NETMAPS and REFERENCES to NETMAPS.
    3) If a NETMAP isn't found during IMPORT when the REFERENCES
are set up, then a warning message will be included within the
    IMPORT REPORT.
    4) If a NETMAP is found, then it will be linked to this
SERVICE INSTANCE with the corresponding parameters of the
    NETMAP.
EXPORT / IMPORT of Web Service Description Language (WSDL) will
    include:
    1) An option to EXPORT the SCHEMA MAPPING and associate it
with the WSDL Business Process upon IMPORT.

Problem summary

  • Task 1>
Export of mailboxes includes permissions, users and xref. Would
like an option to not include the user.
If the user isn't found during import when the xref is set up,
just put a warning into the import report.
    Task 2>
Export of C:D service instances includes the service instance
data, netmaps and xrefs to netmaps. Would like an option to not
include the netmap. If the netmap isn't found during import
when the xref is set up, just put a warning into the import
report. The Netmap will contain the environment specific data.
    Task 3>
There is no option on export of WSDL to include the schema
mapping. This seems like an oversight. Add an option to export
    the schema
mapping and associate it with the WSDL/BP on import.

Problem conclusion

  • Made the required enhancement and it is working as expected.
