Error description

  • The documentation on the IBM Systems Director Information Center
page for systems management command-line interface (smcli)
lsevtacthist command contains incorrect information.

1. Under Options, Tips, the current documentation says "You can
enter lssys -A IP_address to list the IP address of each
discovered system" but, IPv6 Address is not supported here. So,
the correct command and tips should be "You can enter lssys -A
IPv4Address to list the IP address of each discovered system."

2. Under Options,"-a | --action {action_name | action_oid}" is
wrong and "-x | --action {action_name | action_oid}" should be
the correct option.

Impact:
Incorrect information on the IBM Systems Director Information
Center page for the smcli command is inaccurate and may be
misleading to users.

  • There is no local fix for this issue.

1. Under Options, Tips:  "You can enter lssys -A IPv4Address to
list the IP address of each discovered system" will be given
instead of the existing wrong entry 'You can enter lssys -A
IP_address to list the IP address of each discovered system'.

2. Under Options, instead of the wrong command '-a | --action
{action_name | action_oid}',   '-x | --action {action_name |
action_oid}' will be given.
