APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • A Fault SMO is created when an unmodelled fault is returned from
an external service invocation. If the Fault SMO is validated,
error CWSXM2003 can be generated because the invocationPath was
not set in the failInfo context of the SMO.

Local fix

  • Turn off 'validate input'

Problem summary

  • The 'failInfo' section of a Fault SMO should have an
'invocationPath' element to show where the error comes from. In
the case of an unmodeled fault from an external service this was
not being filled in. If the Fault SMO was later validated then
the missing element would result in the CWSXM2003 exception
    being thrown.

Problem conclusion

  • The code was modified such that the Fault SMO would always have
    the 'invocationPath' element set

This code fix was targeted to be included in the following fix
