APAR status

Error description

• This APAR introduces new function to WebSphere MQ File Transfer
  Edition v7.0.4.3 to allow the publication of transfer progress
  audit messages after an early transfer failure.
  
  Without this new function a transfer which fails before
  attempting to perform a file transfer would only send a transfer
  completed audit message with the reason for failure. This means
  that the failure to transfer the files within the transfer would
  go unaudited.

  PROBLEM SUMMARY:
  The design of the transfer auditing did not cater for logging
  the status of items which the agent did not attempt to
  transfer due to an early failure. This means, for example,
  that the failure of the pre-source call could prevent the
  auditing of the failure to transfer the transfer items.
  Instead no information on these transfer items would be logged.
  

Problem conclusion

• New function has been provided to audit all transfer items, even
  in the case of early transfer failure. To enable this new
  function the following properties must be enabled in the
  wmqfte.properties file:
