Error description
Working on Windows 7 Pro Operating system that has IE8, users are unable to set IE8 or Firefox as a Notes embedded browser and unable to open certain websites due to that as it shows message "You are using IE7 or lower" According to TN 1266313, Notes client uses SWT to access the details of hard coded browser with Operating system. Hence customer tried to set Firefox or IE8 as a default on Operating system and tried to open the website using Embedded browser. If we right click and check the browser properties in this case, it does show "Firefox document" or "HTML document" respectively which indicates default browser set on Operating system is working as a Embedded browser. User preferences are set to "Use the browser embedded with this client" as customer wants to use only Notes Embedded client However, if we open the website www.whatismybrowser.com to confirm the Embedded browser version, it still shows "Internet explorer 7 on Windows XP" Instead, if you open this website from Internet explorer directly on the same machine, it shows "Internet explorer 8 on Windows XP"
