IC86120: DURABLE SUBSCRIPTION NOT REMOVED WHEN SUBSCRIPTION TYPE CHANGED IN FTE PLUGIN FOR MQ EXPLORER

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When the transfer log subscriber type is altered from DURABLE to
  NON_DURABLE in the preferences panel of the WebSphere MQ File
  Transfer Edition MQ Explorer Plugin, the durable subscription to
  the SYSTEM.FTE topic is not removed.
  

Local fix

• The durable subscription on SYSTEM.FTE can be manually removed
  <br/>when the MQ Explorer is not running. <br/>

  using the plugin for the WebSphere MQ Explorer.

  PROBLEM SUMMARY:
  If NON_DURABLE was selected as the subscription type in the
  preferences page of the WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition
  plugin for WebSphere MQ Explorer, where previously DURABLE had
  been used, the previous DURABLE subscription would not be
  removed.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code has been altered to ensure that if the subscription
  option is changed from DURABLE to NON_DURABLE, the DURABLE
  subscription will be removed if it exists.
