IC84014: A UDI SQL STATEMENT THAT REFERENCES AN INVALID VIEW IN WHICH THERE IS AN UNREFERENCED INLINE VIEW CAN CRASH THE DATABASE

Error description

  • A data modifying statement (compound statement, DML that
    modifies data, e.g. UDI, merge, etc. ) that references an
    invalid view (that requires implicit regeneration) where the
    view has an unreferenced inline view, can cause DB2 to crash
    during view regeneration.  The stack trace will resemble the

Local fix

  • Ensure that all related views are validated before running the
    SQL statement again
