IC82654: WEBSPHERE MQ V7 FTE MONITOR CREATED WITH INVALID DIRECTORY DOES NOT SHOW IN EXPLORER GUI OR WITH FTELISTMONITOR COMMAND.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The sandboxRoot parameter is set in agent.properties file of
  WebSphere MQ V7 FTE then you attempt to create a monitor using
  the Explorer GUI but the directory specified has a typo, the
  monitor does not show in the GUI list of monitors.  Also, the
  monitor is not displayed when using command line
  fteListMonitors.
  
  When you try to recreate the monitor with the correct directory
  name, an error occurs saying monitor already exists.
  BFGCL0249E: The monitor could not be created as one already
  exists with the given name on that agent.
  
  However, you are able to specifically delete the monitor with
  line command fteDeleteMonitor then recreate with the correct
  directory which matches the one specified in the sandboxRoot
  parameter.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• If a monitor failed to pass a check designed to determine if the
  monitor is within the sandbox, information on that monitor would
  never be published. As a result the monitor would not be
  displayed that commands which rely on this published information
  to detect the monitor.

Problem conclusion

• The code has been altered to ensure that the monitor information
  message is always published if the monitor is created,
  regardless of failed sandbox tests.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
  pack 7.0.4.2.
