APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If trace is turned on by setting the 'trace' property in the
    databaselogger.properties file, the output0.log file confirms
    the trace is set but a trace file is not generated.
    

Local fix

  • Generate trace by specifying the -trace parameter when starting
    the database logger from the command line.
    

Problem summary

  • The 'trace' property within the databaselogger.properties file
    was not honoured, and a trace file would not be generated.

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been altered to ensure that the 'trace' property is
    correctly read from the databaselogger.properties file.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
    pack 7.0.4.1.
