APAR status

Error description

  • WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition can occasionally fail to
    remove the source file during a transfer using a source
    disposition of 'delete' or the Ant 'filemove' task if there is a
    network error or the transfer is cancelled.
    
    An example of a network error might be the following message:
    
    AMQ9208:  Error on receive from host.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • The problem is caused by the agent not unlocking the source
    files when the transfer is stops for some reason or is
    cancelled.  As a result, the file cannot later be deleted.

Problem conclusion

  • This APAR fixes the problem by ensuring that the source files
    are unlocked when a transfer is cancelled.
