  • Using WebSphere MQ v7 (WMQ) and a non-WMQ implementation of the
WebSphere MQ bridge for Hyper Text Transport Protocol (HTTP)
shows 100% CPU utilization when using a jar manifest file larger
than 2048 bytes.

USERS AFFECTED:
This issue affects users of the WebSphere MQ bridge for HTTP
when used in a non-WebSphere MQ product. Users from of the
WebSphere MQ bridge for HTTP supplied with the WebSphere MQ
product are not affected.

Platforms affected:
All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows) +Java

PROBLEM SUMMARY:
The WebSphere MQ bridge for HTTP was unable to process Java
archive (JAR) manifest files larger than 2048 bytes, and the
code entered an infinite loop.

  • The WebSphere MQ bridge for HTTP has been updated to handle
large manifest files.
