Error description

characters appended to the end of the message.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
This issue affects users of the v7 WebSphere MQ classes for JMS
using the poison message handling feature.

    Platforms affected:
All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows) +Java
    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
During poison message handling, the buffer size used to put the
message to the backout queue was incorrectly calculated to be
more than the actual size of the message. The excess bytes
assigned were filled up by NULL characters in the message when
    put to the backout queue.

Problem conclusion

  • The buffer size to put message to the backout queue is now
correctly calculated to avoid excess null characters
