Error description

  • When an attempt is made via WebSphere MQ Explorer to find all
authorities on an object where the object has authorities given
to the NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM user, an error dialog is displayed
with AMQ4808 as the error message.
Explorer trace shows:

USERS AFFECTED:
Users of WebSphere MQ on Windows who have provided authorities
on WebSphere MQ objects to entities with a space in their
username.

Platforms affected:
Windows

PROBLEM SUMMARY:
The WebSphere MQ command server incorrectly removed spaces
within a username, which caused the AMQ4808 error.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The command server code was modified to handle Windows usernames
with a space in them correctly.
