3270 session causes application error if enabling "Blink Cursor"
Steps.
1. Open a 3270 session and select
   Edit -> Settings -> appearance -> display settings
   and set "blink cursor" on.
2. Press OK to return to session screen (The session does not
   fail at this point.)
3. Save the .WS and close the session
4. Open the session again from the .WS.
5. Application error popup appears after displaying host
   intial screen in a moment.

Customer said that this was not occur when she was using
Pcom 6.0.0.
In my test on Pcom 6.0.1, it occurs on 3270 session but
on 5250 session.

Local fix

  • Disable blink cursor

Problem summary

  • 3270 Session fail when start with blink cursor
 selected.
Problem cause : Invalid variable address was referenced and whic
h should only for 5250 session. Problem occur after APAR SE43154
.

Problem conclusion

  • Exclude the condition for 3270 session.

Temporary fix

  • Yes
