Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: These issues affect users of the WebSphere MQ V7 Explorer, and the WebSphere MQ Explorer SupportPac (MS0T), who administer WebSphere MQ Telemetry. Platforms affected: Linux (x86),Linux (x86-64),Windows **************************************************************** PROBLEM SUMMARY: There were a number of issues here: - The MQ Explorer incorrectly wrote informational FFSTs when the WebSphere MQ Telemetry plug-in was being used in certain "user error" scenarios. - The data returned from WebSphere MQ Telemetry was in a format that could not be displayed by the MQ Explorer. - When the 64-bit version of the package xulrunner was present on Linux systems, the MQ Explorer would try to use this when opening help. This package was not compatible with the version of Eclipse being used by the MQ Explorer.
Problem conclusion
The issues mentioned above have been addressed in the following ways: - The MQ Explorer now only generates FFSTs if a genuine error has occurred when using the WebSphere MQ Telemetry plugin. - The WebSphere MQ Telemetry plugin for MQ Explorer has been changed to convert the values of "keep alive", "msg sent" and "msg rcvd" into a format that can be displayed by the user interface. - The MQ Explorer on Linux has been modified to load the correct version of the xulrunner package. --------------------------------------------------------------- The fix is targeted for delivery in the following PTFs: v7.0 Platform Fix Pack 7.0.1.3 -------- -------------------- Windows U200320 Linux (x86) U834415 Linux (x86-64) U834985 The latest available maintenance can be obtained from 'WebSphere MQ Recommended Fixes' http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006037 If the maintenance level is not yet available, information on its planned availability can be found in 'WebSphere MQ Planned Maintenance Release Dates' http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006309 ---------------------------------------------------------------
