Local fix

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
This issue affects users of the WebSphere MQ v7 OSGi bundles.

    Platforms affected:
All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows) +Java
    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
The OSGi bundles did not import the javax.net.ssl package. It
was still possible to use the classes in this package with
Equinox 3.1.1 but attempting to do with with Equinox 3.5.1 gave
the NoClassDefFoundError due to a change in class loading
    behaviour.

Problem conclusion

  • Statements have been added to the OSGi bundle manifests to
optionally import the javax.net.ssl package. This means that
if the environment the application is running in already
provides the javax.net.ssl package the WMQ bundles do not need
to use the import statement, but if the environment does not
provide access to this package then it is available to the WMQ
    bundles.
