Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
This issue affects all users of the WebSphere MQ Version 7
    Resource Adapter.

    Platforms affected:
All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows) +Java
    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
WebSphere Application Server Version 7 uses the WebSphere MQ
Version 7 Resource Adapter to manage connections to a queue
    manager.

If a problem occurred removing a connection from the pool of
connections maintained by the Resource Adapter, it was possible
for the pool to end up in an inconsistent state. This resulted
in the error reported in this APAR.

Problem conclusion

  • The WebSphere MQ Version 7 Resource Adapter connection pool
logic has been rewritten, and now correctly handles the
situation where an error occurs trying to remove a connection.
