Error description

  • When using the exit functions of WebSphere MQ File Transfer
Edition V7.0 (MQFTE or WMQFTE), the output.log file does not
use a consistent or standard way of noting the exit path name.
In some places it will use a backward slash to make note of
    the exit path name.

    example: E:\work\WMQFTE\server2\testdata.sent
while in other places it will use a forward slash to make note
    of the exit path name.
    example: D:/MyDoc/send/test.txt

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Path delimiters in user exits are not represented in a
consistent way.Properties available through the metadata within
user exits did not have a consistent approach to representing
path delimiters. Depending on the platform and the path
delimiters used in a specific file transfer the delimiters can
be shown as a Windows style "\" or a Unix style "/". This fix
addresses that problem by unifying all path delimiters with the
Unix style "/". Setting the agent property
    agentForceConsistentPathDelimiters will enable the new
behaviour. The new property will need to be set for user exits
which require this new behaviour on each agent. If the new
property is not set the default behaviour is the same as at GA.

    USERS AFFECTED:
Users who require path delimiters in exit metadata to be
    represented in a consistent way

    PLATFORMS AFFECTED:
    All

Problem conclusion

  • All path delimiters for non-user defined metadata are
represented with "/" regardless of how they are defined
    originally.
