APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• HATS customer is connecting to a iSeries (5250 session) using
  BIDI code page 420 and on some screens the subfile actions are
  being recognized or rendering correcly.  Even though, in the
  subfile component settings there is a green check for actions
  there are no matches for actions showing up on the screen.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The actions on a subfile are not being  *

  *                      rendered as part of the subfile on      *
  *                      screens that have no data in the        *
  *                      subfile and are using an empty row as   *
  *                      the end-marker.  Although, in the       *
  *                      subfile component the actions           *
  *                      folder indicates that actions are       *
  *                      being recognized.                       *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  The start position of the recognized elements list is not
  initialized when an empty row is used as the end-marker in a
  subfile.  Therefore, the first element in this list is
  not set correctly causing the actions to not be rendered as
  part of the subfile.
  

Problem conclusion

• SubfileMarkerComponentV6.java and SubfileMarkerElementv6.java
  were both changed.  The initial start position is now
  correctly set in SubfileMarkerComponentv6, and passed
  to SubfileMarkderElementv6.
