  When a user is using EHLLAPI application, sometimes the HOD
  applet fails with the IE browser and a javacore file is
  created. The javacore file shows access violation in
  SyncHLLAPI.dll
  

Problem conclusion

• After registering for any notifications (OIA, sendkey, ps
  or closing notifications), if the application exits before
  HOD in IE there is a possibility of returning a null value
  for the application block as it no longer exists.
  
  Added a check for null values of the application block in
  each notification type.
