Error description

• A statement from the TSM Admin Guide 5.5 needs to be
  changed/extended. A classic NDMP backup is only possible to a
  Library Manager but a NAS backup via TCP/IP is also possible to
  a Library Client
  
  Statement from page 140:
  Library Sharing: The Tivoli Storage Manager server that performs
  NDMP operations can be a library manager for either a SCSI or
  349X library, but cannot be a library client. If the Tivoli
  Storage Manager server that performs NDMP operations is a
  library manager, that server must control the library directly
  and not by passing commands through the NAS file server.
  
  New Statement:
  Library Sharing: The Tivoli Storage Manager server that performs
  NDMP operations can be a library manager for either a SCSI or
  349X library. It can also be a library client in case of NAS
  backups via TCP/IP (3-way NDMP backup, filer-to-server
  configuration). If the Tivoli Storage Manager server that
  performs NDMP operations is a library manager, that server must
  control the library directly and not by passing commands through
  the NAS file server.

• The documentation has been updated as described below.
  
  In the V5.5 Windows Administrator's Guide,
  Chapter "Using NDMP for Operations with NAS File Servers",
  section "Requirements" (PDF version, p. 161):
  
  Current statement:
  Library Sharing: The Tivoli Storage Manager server that
  performs NDMP operations can be a library manager for either
  a SCSI or 349X library, but cannot be a library client.
  If the Tivoli Storage Manager server that performs NDMP
  operations is a library manager, that server must control
  the library directly and not by passing commands through
  the NAS file server.
  
  New Statement:
  Library Sharing: The Tivoli Storage Manager server that
  performs NDMP operations can be a library manager for either
  a SCSI or 349X library. The Tivoli Storage Manager server
  can also be a library client, in a configuration where the
  NAS filer sends data to a Tivoli Storage Manager server using
  TCP/IP rather than to a tape library attached to the NAS filer.
  If the Tivoli Storage Manager server that performs NDMP
  operations is a library manager, that server must control the
  library directly and not by passing commands through the
  NAS file server.
