APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer indicated when she select the dropdown menu for subfile
  menu item the screen just redisplay without sending the command.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This problem was only occurring for     *
  *                      input fields that contained all of the  *
  *                      following characteristics: length is    *
  *                      1 character, field exit required        *
  *                      attibute is enabled, the field is       *
  *                      filled. For example, an input field     *
  *                      in a selection list would have value    *
  *                      entered into it, but when the screen    *
  *                      was submitted to the host with the      *
  *                      Enter key, the action represented by    *
  *                      the value in the input field woudl      *
  *                      not get executed. It would appear       *
  *                      like the screen only refreshed,         *
  *                      instead of submitting the data.         *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  Certain input fields, when submitted to the host, would not
  actually perform the action they were intended to.
  

Problem conclusion

• The widgets will properly track the cursor position and caret
  position so that field exit required fields will contain the
  correct values before being submitted to the host.
