Error description

• The CCWeb configuration file (ccweb.conf) contains incorrect
  path statement.
  
  The following section of the ccweb.conf file for UNIX and
  Linux refers to an incorrect path statement:
  
  # -view_storage pathname
  #
  # specifies an alternate location for snapshot view directories
  # created for Web access. The default location is either
  # CCHOME/var/ccweb, where CCHOME is the ClearCase installation
  # directory, or if on Windows NT and CCHOME is a pathname which
  # contains spaces, then X:\ccweb, where X is the drive where
  # ClearCase is installed. If the -view_storage directive is used
  # then the pathname must not contain any spaces. It must also be
  # a local pathname.
  
  
  The default location is either
  # CCHOME/var/ccweb, where CCHOME is the ClearCase installation
  
  CCHOME as a default would be /opt/rational/clearcase.
  
  The actual default location for CCWeb is
  /var/adm/rational/clearcase/ccweb

Problem conclusion

• After analysis of this APAR, we have determined that it must
  remain a permanent product restriction. A priority decision
  has been made that this defect cannot be addressed in a
  reasonable amount of time without neglecting issues of
  higher importance.
  
  Meanwhile we recommend using the correct path as noted in
  description:
  
  /var/adm/rational/clearcase/ccweb
