IC52700: ANR9851 PREPARE: VOLUME XXXXXXX.BFS NOT FOUND

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The following message can be displayed when the TSM command
  PREPARE (to create a Recovery Plan File) is run:
  .
  ANR9581W PREPARE: Volume xxxxxxx.BFS not found while building
  stanza PRIMARY.VOLUMES.REPLACEMENT.CREATE script
  .
  The problem is due to case sensitivity and can occur when a
  volume that physically resides on disk contains one or more
  letters. Though file volumes are created on the operating system
  in lower case, by default, the prepare script looks for the
  volume names in upper case. A match cannot be made and the error
  occurs
  

Local fix

• Ensure the specified volume exists at the operating system
  level.  Copy the volume name to a name with upper case
  characters (Example: cp 0000006a.bfs 0000006A.BFS).  Run PREPARE
  again.  If the error message is no longer displayed, the defect
  described was most likely the cause.,
