HE08756: HA1: After "Compare Parts" command is performed, a menu bar and a tool bar are grayed out

Error description

  • .
    SCENARIO:
    1.  Start CATIA V5.
    2.  Workbench: Part design.
    3.  Create any simple sketch for example rectangle and pad it. S
    ave part file as part 1.
    4.  Again create any simple sketch for example rectangle and pad
     it. Save part file as part 2.
         Close both the files.
    5.  Open part 1. Go to workbench Healing assistance.
    6.  Go to toolbar Check geometry. Click on Compare parts icon.
    7.  File Selection dialog box is displayed.
    8.  Select "Part2.CATPart" and Click "Open".
    9. "Compare Parts" dialog box is displayed.
    10. Click "Preview??? button. "Compare for Part1 and Part2" wind
    ow is displayed.
    11. Click background of black color. ==> This is a key point.
    12. Click "OK".  New Part "MergeResult_1" is created.
    13. Change the window from "MergeTesult_1" into "Part1".
    14. Many menus in a menu bar and a tool bar are grayed out.

    After "Compare Parts" command is performed, many menus in a menu
     bar and a tool bar are grayed out.
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    After "Compare Parts" command is performed, all the menus that c
    an be used should not be grayed out.

    NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R20 SP7.
    NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R21 SP2.

    Technical explanation of the defect:
    HA1: After "Compare Parts" command is performed, many menus
    in a menu bar and a tool bar are grayed out. Add a warning
    message to avoid greyed ou of toolbars and menubars.
    .
    Technical explanation of the correction:
    When comparing two parts, if you click in the view with a
    black background, all menu items and toolbar icons are greyed
    and inactive. If you click OK while the menu items and
    toolbar icons are stillgreyed, they will remain inactive when
    you exit the command, making any action (even a save)
    impossible. To avoid this, click again in the other view
    before clicking OK in the Compare Parts dialog box. The menu
    items and toolbar icons will be active again.
    Warning message has provided to avoid greyed out.
