Error description

  • Scenario:
    1) Remove All CATSettings
    2) Start CATIA R19SP6
    3) Tools / Options / Catlog Editor
    The catalog favourites list is as follows:
    ISO.catalog
    US.catalog
    JIS.catalog
    EN.catalog
    4) Tools / Mecanical Standard Parts / ISO.catalogs
    -> The ISO.catalog is loaded
    5) Measure the time taken for the Catalog Browerwindow to appear
    6) Exit CATIA
    .
    7) Remove All CATSettings
    8) Start CATIA R19SP6
    9) Tools / Options / Catlog Editor
    Add the customer catalog at the top of the catalog favourites li
    st as follows:
    ELECTRICAL_LINKED.catalog
    US.catalog
    JIS.catalog
    EN.catalog
    10) Tools / Mecanical Standard Parts / ISO catalogs
    -> The ISO.catalog is loaded
    11) Measure the time taken for the Catalog Browerwindow to appea
    r
    -> It takes longer because both the ELECTRICAL_LINKED and the IS
    O catalog are loaded
    .
    Expected result:
    If the catalog favourites list is customized only the ISO catlog
     should be loaded when
    Tools / Mechanical Standard Parts / ISO catalogs is selected
    .

    NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R21 SP1.

    Technical explanation of the defect:
    By default when catalog browser is launched using
    OpenCatalogBrowser method it is trying to load the
    last opened catalog, if launch for the first time
    it is checking favorites (tools -> options ->
    Catlog Editor), in case of BR (user provider
    catalogue) this take lot of time (1 min).
    Technical explanation of the correction:
    Call method OpenCatalogBrowser using mode
    'CATCatalogDisplayNoDfltCatalog' (do not try load
    default catalog).
