HE05378: DRAFTING: DETAIL VIEWS ARE HIGHLIGHTED WITH RED TEXT

Error description

• Scenario:
  (Data Specific scenario)
  1. Open the specific CATDrawing file.
  2. Detail views are highlighted with red text
  3. Select the circle or text and RMB
  4. Goto Contextual menu / Properties / Font,
  5. Color of the font is red. The same color is seen in
  ???Graphics" for Lines and Curves.
  6. Change the color to black for both text and lines.
  7. Save the drawing and close it.
  8. Open the drawing again.
  .
  RESULT:
  The text and lines of Details view symbol are red in color.
  EXPECTED RESULT:
  The text and line should be black in color.

Problem conclusion

• THIS PROBLEM IS PERMANENT RESTRICTION IN CATIA
  Additional Closure Information:
  INCIDENT DIAGNOSIS:
  Detail Views - Callout Text remains RED even after update or
  change in Properties.
  .
  REASON:
  Data seems to have got corrupted somehow during creation.
  Customer can provide a full detailed way of how the drawing
  views were created (Step by Step) to analyze the reason for
  data corruption.
  However below mentioned by-pass will help the customer
  resolve the issue.
  "Synchronize View Definition" has to be explicitly called in
  this case so as to make sure the data
  which is corrupted comes back to normal state.(View Update
  even though internally calls
  View Synchronize View Definition)
  .
  BY-PASS:
  Please refer the video file attached with this document to
  make sure the scenario is working properly
  Steps
  1. Call DESK --> CATDUA operation on the CATDrawing file
  2. Goto Tools/ Option/ Mechanical Design/ Drafting/ Views ???
  select "Synchronize during Update"
  3. Call "Synchronize View Definition" on Detail.B
  4. Switch to Sheet 2 and perform ???Synchronize View
  Definition??? for Detail.I, Detail.J and Detail.K
  5. Save the Drawing
  6. Change the FONT/TEXT/GRAPHIC properties of the CALLOUT as
  a whole to BLACK
  7. Save the Drawing and close it.
  8. When re-opening the CATDrawing, scenario is not reproduced
  anymore.
  The Detail Callout's & ARROWS & TEXTS are seen in BLACK now.
