Error description
PREPARATION: 1. Open Windows Explorer on Windows 7 OS 2. Right click on Computer and select Add a network Location Add network location dialog box opens. 3. Click Next and select choose a custom network location and click Next 4. Type the address of network location to create shortcut 5. Type name for network location(Say XXX) and click finish Folder named XXX is added under the Network location. (In Windows Explorer) 6. Put any sample macro file in this network folder. . SCENARIO: 1. Start CATIA V5 on Windows 7 OS 2. Go to tools > Macro > Macros Macro dialog box will be opened. 3. Select Macro libraries Macro libraries window will be opened. 4. Select Directories in library type drop down menu. 5. Select Add existing library icon Open window is displayed to select directory of macro Observation: The Network location is not visible and therefore not selectable in the list under Computer or Network location.- This is the problem. This problem does not occur when working on windows XP. 6. Select file > Open File selection window is displayed. 7. Select computer Folder named XXX is displayed under the Network location and it is possible to open data from network location. - This is correct behavior. PROBLEM: Unable to select Macro file from Network location while running CATIA on Windows 7 OS. EXPECTED RESULT: Similar to Windows XP, it should be possible to select Macro file from Network location while running CATIA on Windows 7 OS.
