HE01974: CHANGING ACTIVE LEVELS IN THE TREE CAUSES CATIA TO 'STOP WORKING'

APAR status

Error description

  • Scenario:
    1. Open CATIA: Sketch tracer workbench.
    2. Click on the ???Create an immersive sketch??? icon.
    3. Select the external .tiff file.
    4. Click on OK in the sketch parameters window.
    5. From the tree, expand Applications -> Painting Gallery,
    there will be a Painting 1 listed and you will
        see the painting graphical displayed.
    6. Right Click on the top of the V5 specification tree (on
    the Product) and select Components -> New
        Part.
    7. Expand the Part under the tree and double click on the
    part to make it active.
    8. Right click on Product in the tree and select Product1 >>
    edit from the contextual menu.
    Problem:
    CATIA hangs unexpectedly. It has to be closed through the
    task manager.
    Expected result:
    CATIA should not hang.
