Error description

• SCENARIO:
  1. Create a new CATPart.
  2. Create a simple geometry (for example, a pad feature)
  3. Apply some material to the PartBody.
  4. Save and close the CATPart.
  5. File / Open.
  6. Select the saved CATPart and activate the "Show preview"
  option in "Open" dialog box.
  OBSERVATION:
  The preview shows the geometry with material applied on it.
  EXPECTED RESULT:
  Preview should show the last saved status of the part. The
  material should not be displayed on part.

• THIS PROBLEM IS PERMANENT RESTRICTION IN CATIA.
  Additional Closure Information:
  INCIDENT DIAGNOSIS:
  The "Show preview" Option of File-Open dialog shows the Part
  with Material applied, whereas in CATIA be seen with no
  material applied on it.
  RESTRICTION DETAILS:
  The material is stored in the document (part or product)
  which is root of the editor at the material application time.
  If we save this document on disk, this material gets saved
  with this File. So when we launch File-Open ,select any file
  and check Show Preview, it shows the preview stored in the
  selected File, which is with material in this case. This
  Preview is displayed only on Microsoft Windows and it is of
  the selected File.
  When Part is opened in CATIA ,by default no Rendering style
  is applied on it, so user is not able to see any material
  applied on Part. If user apply any Rendering style, he is
  able to view that particular rendering style.
  The behaviour seen in the Show Preview is a designed
  behaviour; hence this issue is considered as restriction.
