HD98492: CANNOT CONTROL HYBRID BODY CREATION FROM ACIS->CATIA CONVERSION

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Setting in CATIA:
  1. Launch the CATIA.
  2. Go to Tools > Options > Infrastructure > Part
  Infrastructure >  Part Document > Hybrid Design. And uncheck
  the below option:
       Enable hybrid design inside part bodies and bodies
  .
  Scenario:
  1. Build the attached sample workspace
  2. Run the created ImportApp.exe with following  parameters:
       - input *.sat file
       - output *.CATPart file
       - log *.log file
  .
  For Exa:
  ImportApp.exe -in <Path on local drive>\block_f.sat -out
  <Path on local drive>block_f.CATPart -log <Path on local
  drive>\block_f.log
  .
  Actual Result:
  Open the converted CATPart. All the surface features are
  included in Main Body and it has yellow color which means
  HybridBody.
  Setting done is not taken into account.by
  CATAcisToV5::Transfer()
  .
  Expected Result:
  As on V5R18 SP6.
  On this level in the converted CATPart, all the surface
  features are inside a Geometrical Set. Setting done is taken
  into account.

Problem conclusion

• THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON Virtual Design  VERSION V5R21
  GA level.
  NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R19 SP9.
  NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R20 SP4.
