  • Scenario:
    < Option Settings >
    1. Select Tools > Options of menu bar.
    2. Select Part Infrastructure.
    3. Select Display tab.
    4. Activate Parameters.
    5. Activate Relations.
    6. Click OK.

    0. Start CATIA V5R19SP7 for 64 bit.
    1. Open CATPart having Design Table embedded in it. If
    required switch to Knowledge Advisor workbench.
    2. Expand Relations in the tree.
    3. Click DesignTable.1 node in the tree by MB3.
    4. Select Properties by context menu.
    5. Click ... button of File Path:.
    6. Select Replace_Table.xls.
    7. Click Open.
    Warning message :Are you sure you want to change the design
    table source file?
    8. Click Yes.
    9. Click OK.
    10. Double-click DesignTable.1 node in the tree.
    11. Click Edit table button.
    12. Click Cancel button of Packager window.
    13. Click Cancel button of the DesignTable.1 dialog box.
    Result: Dialog box displaying, Please close Excel message
    window is displayed.  But no Excel file has opened at all.
    Problem : We cannot close DesignTable.1 dialog box by the
    message window displayed

    Restriction explanation.
    The excel file version used in this scenario is too old. The
    Excel file used in this scenario was generated with a too old
    version of Excel (Excel 2007supports versions from 97 to
    2003)
    .
    By-Pass:
    - Open in Excel the file you're working with (here it is
    Replace_Table.xls)
    - Save a new version of this file by selecting in the Office
    menu "Save as--> Excel 97-2003 Workbook"
