Problem summary

  • The performance of small advanced fillets is too bad. The
computation time sometimes exceeds several minutes.

Problem conclusion

  • Please read through the following Points carefully:
    1. Performance in general has been improved (especially the
"S" part of the example), but the PRS closure type is set
    because of the following points:
    2. Performance with option "automatic" is still much slower
than in Surf. Reason: With automatic it is tried to achieve a
result with the lowest order possible. This costs time. When
settings are set like the are in Surf (switch off automatic,
set order to "Fix: 7"), the performance is comparable).
    3. The data example can't be trimmed any longer. Reason: The
radius of 0.26 is too big. See attached CATPart
    PBI_01363-trim-not-possible.CATPart and attached jpg
Fillet-trim-no-possible.jpg. The result is therefore self
intersecting, and such results can't trim the supports.
Same is valid in Surf, there also face problems occur.
Swinging surfaces exist, showing that the radius is too big.
