Comments

  • Dear Customer: we have reviewed the problem report you
submitted and determined that the function referenced is
working within the scope of the original design
specification. However we recognize the value of your
feedback and will consider including resolution of this issue
as a product enhancement in a future release, if one is made
available. We thank you for your input.
    Additional Closure Information:
    Incident Diagnosis:
"Thread Dimension" function provides a representation
compliant to ISO 6410 standards' conventional representation.
However, it does not support the simplified representation
which is also allowed by ISO 6410-3 standard, in 2 specific
    cases.
    Development Request Justification:
    JIS B 0002-1, JIS B 0002-2 and JIS B 0002-3 standard are
reusing, respectively, ISO 6410-1:1993, ISO 6410-2:1993 and
ISO 6410-3:1993 standards. Conventional representation for
    Thread dimensions
is defined in ISO 6410-1 4.3 figure 14 and ISO 6410-2 4 table
    1. ISO 6410-3 3.3 defines that "it is permissible to
simplify the representation and/or the indication of
    dimensions" in 2 specific cases.
This is an optional possibility, and using the conventional
    representation of ISO 6410-1 standard
is of course a valid way of representing dimensions in those
    2 specific cases.
"Thread Dimension" function provides a representation
compliant to ISO 6410 standards' conventional representation.
Support of simplified representation is an enhancement
request which is currently not planned.
    .
    By-Pass:
Please use conventional representation defined in ISO 6410
standards. You may also use some text feature to figure a
    simplified representation.
