Error description

  • SCENARIO:
    1. Start CATIA V5
    2. Create a new CATPart
    3. Select sketch command and select XY plane
    Sketcher workbench will be opened.
    4. Create an arc of Radius 50mm starting from origin (0, 0)
up to any angle less than 90 degrees and whose center point
lies on vertical axis.(i.e. Apply coincident constraint
between center point and vertical axis)
    5. Create a tangent line of 50 mm length starting from end
point of arc up to any length
    6. Define angle constraint (Say 30 degree) between line and
    vertical axis
    7. Apply tangency constraint between arc and horizontal axis.
    8. Observe that the sketch is green i.e. iso-constrained
    9. Multi-select Line and Arc using CTRL key and select Mirror
    command
    10. Select vertical Axis
    Observation:
Geometry is mirrored however sketch becomes
    white(under-constrained) after Mirror.
    .
    PROBLEM:
    Iso-constrained sketch becomes under-constrained after
    performing Mirror operation.
    .
    EXPECTED RESULT:
Sketch should remain iso-constrained after mirror operation.
