HD92409: PRINT : DRAWING WHICH IS LARGER THAN A2 IS PRINTED AS A4 DRAWING

APAR status

  • Closed as unreproducible in next release.

Error description

  • Drawing which is larger than A2 is printed as A4 Drawing.
    Scenario:
    1. Start CATIA V5
    2. Open the Drawing file which is larger than A2 size.
    (In his case, A1 Drawing file is opened).
    3. Select File / Print.
    4. Click Page Setup button.
    5. Select the form size which was opened at step.2 as Form
    Name then
    click OK button.
    (In this case, A1 is selected as Form Name).
    6. Click OK button in Print window.
    >> It is printed as A1.
    No problem.

    7. Run PrintBatch.
    8. Click "Add a document" button then select the Drawing file
    which
    is larger than A2 size. (In his case, A1 Drawing file is
    selected).
    9. Click "Default Printing Parameters" button.
    10. Click "Page Setup" button.
    11. Select the form size which was selected at step.2 as Form
    Name
    then click OK button.
    (In this case, A1 is selected as Form Name).
    12. Click OK button in Printing Parameters window.
    13. Click Run button in PrintBatch window.
    >> It is printed as A1.
    >> This is a problem.

Problem summary

    THIS PROBLEM IS NOT REPRODUCIBLE ON :
    CATIA VERSION V5R21 GA level
    CATIA VERSION V5R19 SP8.
    CATIA VERSION V5R20 SP1.
    Additional Closure Information:
    Selected ?PDF Xchange 4.0? as the default windows Printer
    (from start-> Printer and Faxes) and set its properties as
    A4, Portrait.
    - Selected the reference A1 size drawing in Batch Printing
    UI.
    - Selected Printer ?PDF Xchange 4.0? in Batch printing UI and
    changed the properties for size to A1 and orientation to
    landscape.
    - In default Printing parameters selected Page Size as A1.
