Error description

  • SCENARIO:
    1. Start CATIA V5R19SP5. In Tools/Options set the
    units to "Inch" & Open "TEST.CATPart".
    2. Select "Measure
    Inertia" and select Part1. Observe the results in "Measure
    Inertia" panel.
    3. From the "Measure Inertia" panel, use the
    "Export" button and save the results locally.
    4. Open the
    results from the local disk.
    5. Compare the results from the
    .txt file to the results from the "Measure Inertia"
    panel.
    .
    RESULT :
    Values of IoxG, IoyG, IozG, IxyG, IxzG and
    IyzG are different in .txt file and "Measure Inertia"
    panel.
    .
    EXPECTED RESULT :
    All the values should be the same
    in the .txt file and in the "Measure Inertia" panel.

Problem summary

Problem conclusion

  • THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION V5R20 SP1 level.
    NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R19 SP7.
    Additional Closure Information:
    Incident Diagnosis
    Measure Inertia Values of IoxG, IoyG, IozG, IxyG, IxzG and
    IyzG are different in .txt file and "Measure Inertia panel.
    Correction Explanation
    The units of the Inertia vales were not getting converted
    based on the units specified in tools/options, during EXPORT.
    Now the problem is fixed and is working fine.
