  • SCENARIO:
    Process: OK case:
    1) Start CATIA V5R18SP5.
    2) Open the sent
    file Part1.Catpart
    3) Change
    the workbench to "Generative Shape Design".
    4) Click "Extrude" icon.
    >"Extrude Surface Definition" dialog box is
    displayed.
    5) Select "Curve.1" as "Profile" of
    "Extrude Surface Definition" dialog box.
    6) Click inside "Direction" box of
    "Extrude Surface Definition  dialog box with MB3.

    3) Change the workbench to "Generative Shape Design".
    4) Click "Sweep" icon.
    >"Swept Surface Definition" dialog box is displayed.
    5) Click "Line" icon of ""Swept Surface Definition"
    dialog box.
    6) Select "With draft direction" as
    "Subtype".
    7) Select "Curve.1" as
    "Guide curve 1".
    8) Click
    inside "Draft direction" box with MB3.
    >The contextual menu is displayed.
    9) Select "Z Component" of the contextual menu.
    10)Input "20mm" of "Length 1".
    11)Click "OK" button of "Swept
    Surface Definition" dialog box.
    >>"Update Error"
    window is displayed and "Sweep" command is not
    performed.
    .
    Message:
    Sweep.4
    Extrude or Sweep or Loft or
    Blend operator:
    Impossible to
    compute the edge curve between two surface.
    Change your inputs.
    Problem:
    The error message is displayed when
    "Sweep" command is performed.
    

Problem conclusion

  • THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON   VERSION V5R20 GA level.
    NOTE
    THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R19 SP6.
