Error description

  • Abstract: When deleting CatDrawing Document of a Rev B or
    above the previous revision of the reference changes the
    document from attached as primary Documentation to Attached
    as none Documentation.
    .
    Scenario
    1. Create part with CatDrawing role primary and Documentation
    link, a CatPart role primary and Reprsenation link,and a Word
    Document role secondary and a Documentation Link
    2. Approve all documents
    3. Approve reference
    4. Create a new version of the reference
    5. Create revision of the CatPart, CatDrawing and Word Document
    6. Save and send all three documents to Content manager
    7. In part editor refresh from the Database
    8. In Part editor cut the CatPart
    9. You will not have to cut the CatDrawing or the Word Drawing
    as they are not on the rev A.
    10. Save
    11. In Content manager, delete all three documents you just
    created.
    12. Go to Part Editor and refresh from the Database.
    .
    Results.  Select the --- and select Documents tab.  The
    CATDrawing and the Word Document revert to a role of NONE.
    The CATpart stays correct.
    .
    Expected results.  The CATDrawing and Word document should not
    change how they are attached to the released Part reference.

Problem summary

    manager, delete all three documents you just created.

Problem conclusion

  • THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON   VERSION V5R20 GA level.
    NOTE
    THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R19 SP6.
