Error description

  • Point of problem:
    This problem is that the preview of "Save Management" differs
    from the screen when it was performed at the comparison
    window.
    .
    Process:
    0) Start CATIA.
    1) Open the file : "G00264_A.CATPart". Workbench : "Healing
    Assistant".
    2) Click "Compare Parts" icon. "File Selection" dialog box is
    displayed.
    3) Select "G00264_B.CATPart".
    4) Click "Open". "Compare Parts" dialog box is displayed.
    (Please confirm that "Method:" is "Quick".) This is key
    point.
    5) Click "Preview". "Comparison for G00264_A and G00264_B"
    window is displayed.
    6) Select "File" > "Save Management" by menu bar at the
    "Comparison for G00264_A and G00264_B" window.
    This is key point. "Comparison for G00264_A and G00264_B"
    window is closed. "Save Management" dialog box is displayed.
    The preview of "Save Management" differs from the screen.
    This is problem. (The preview is showing the display of
    "Comparison for G00264_A and G00264_B" window.)

Problem conclusion

  • THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION V5R21 GA level.
    NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R20SP1 AND
    ALSO ON V5R19 SP7.

    Technical explanation of the defect:
    Two problems that are specific when the command "Compare
    Parts" is interrupted by the command "Save Management":
    - the preview in Save Management is not up-to-date because
    there is no refresh of the visualization by the dialog when
    the command "Compare Parts" is interrupted.
    - the document is seen as modified when the command is
    interrupted since it is not modified when the command exits
    by the button Cancel.
    .
    Technical explanation of the correction:
    - the preview is corrected by resetting the temporary colors
    that were used in the compare preview (double window).
    - the document seen as modified when the command is now
    corrected.
    .
    Possible by-pass and/or correction limitation:
    The behavior now is that the color visualized in the Save
    Management preview is now white (no color at all). This
    missing color is temporary because if there are several
    documents in session, pointing another document in the Save
    Management window refreshes the display. Or if you cancel and
    relaunch the Save Management command the visualization is
    refreshed.
