Problem summary

  • Sheet Editor drag-drop jumps to left-most column making moving
    columns rt difficult.
    .
The scroll bar at the bottom of the
sheet editor Panel Scrolls to the far left as soon as a column
is picked to move to another location.
    This makes moving any
columns other than the right most 10 or 12 difficult to
    manipulate (re-position).
If a column is such that the user
had to scroll to the right to have it appear and be
selectable, then when that column is selected the scroll bar
should remain where it is unless the user moves the column to
either the right of left edge. if this is
    done, then the
scroll bar should pan in that directions (not jump but is a
controlled manner) until the column is dropped or moved away
from the edge by the user.
    Problem is reproduced in R19SP3
    base environment.
Send Part instances to sheet editor.
Scroll all the way the right. If necessary, resize window so
that sheet editor displays a horizontal slide.
    Try to
re-position the two right-most columns to exchange positions.
Put Usage Status to the right of Qty.
    Select the second
rightmost, Usage Status, column header and drag to the right
as shown in screen shot 1 in attachment.
    Result: The sheet
editor display shifts to the left and the user can not drag
    the column to the right.
    Note changed position of horizontal
    slide in screen shot 2.
    Expected result: customer can drag
the column right and it will snap into position as the
    farthest right column.
Customer workaround is to hide enough
columns to remove the horizontal toolbar before moving
    columns.
R19SP3 Client trace in attachment. Comment inserted
starting with CR208128 just before column
    move was attempted.
