HD84112: SolidWorks freezes if specific assemblies are loaded

Error description

  • Scenario:
    1. Launch SolidWorks
    2. Login to SmarTeam
    User name = bau06442
    Password = raika78
    3. Go to SolidWorks menu > File Open
    4. On a Open Dialog view select =System folder=
    5. Find bau0011855895 assembly file and open it in
    SolidWorks
    Note: If you receive any SolidWorks message,
    push =YES=(JA)
    KO: SolidWorks looks as freezes.

    Workarounds:
    1. Switch to Desktop and return SW view to refresh
    the screen.
    2. Use SolidWorks Preference External References
    > Load referenced
    documents = None
    3. Use SolidWorks Preference Performance >No
    preview during open
    (faster)

Problem conclusion

  • THE PROBLEM WAS SUBMITTED ON :
       SMARTEAM VERSION V5R18.
    THIS PROBLEM IS NOT REPRODUCIBLE ON :
    SMARTEAM VERSION V5R19 SP8.
    Additional Closure Information:
    Issue Fixed and tested on R19 SP08 and SW 2010
     SW freeze issue could not be reproduced.
