HD82006: LICENSING : IMPOSSIBLE TO IMPORT A PROE PRT FILE USING A SHAREABLE DXL LICENSE

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Scenario:
    1) Start CATIA R19SP3
    2) Tools / Options / General / Licensing
       Select an MD2 configuration
       Select the MULTICAx All-In-One license
    3) Exit and restart CATIA
    -> Both the MD2 configuration and the
       DXL licenses are granted statically and the
       PDL product is also granted via DXL
    4) Start / Infrastructure / Product Structure
    5) Insert / Existing Component
       Select the provided ProE testpart.prt.1 file
    6) Open
    -> The ProE model is displayed
    7) Tools / Options / General / Licensing
       Deselect the DXL license
    8) Exit and restart CATIA
       Tools / Options / General / Licensing
       Only the MD2 license is granted
    9) Tools / Options / General / Shareable Products
       Acquire the license DXL as a shareable license
        The PDL product is also granted via DXL
    10) Perform Steps 4) to 6)
        The following message is displayed:
    .
    Failed to request nodelocked or concurrent license
    for PDL
    LUM error : License not found in database
    .
    11) Click OK
        The following message is displayed:
    .
    Failed to convert ... test1.prt
    For more information, please look at report in
    C:/Documents and Settings ...  /CATReport
    .
    The report file contains the messge:
    *** ERROR:
    Licensing error,request for direct product failed
    .
    .
