Error description

  • Bad performance smarteam editor
    Environment:
    Client OS and level: __MS Windows XP Professional
    2002 SP
    3_____
    Server OS and level: _MS Windows Server 2003
    R2 Standard
    X64 SP2______
    Database and level: ___Oracle 10.2.0.4____
    Scenario:
    1. Start SmarTeam Editor and login.
    2. Find objects - all cad - run.
    3. Switch between profile cards on the grid view.
    4. Result: The display of the contents is slow.
    The file monitor (filemon.exe) displays the
    following:
    Updating the user setting
    (C:\smarteam\configurationsettings\data\user\<use
    r>\smartea
    m.std.legacypreferences.config.xml) on the
    Smarteam
    configuration server by switching between the
    profile cards.
    This behaviour is different to SmarTeam R16 (no
    update of user
    settings in R16) and cost a lot of performance in a
    LAN
    environment.

Problem conclusion

  • THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON SMARTEAM
    VERSION 5 RELEASE 19 SP04 LEVEL.
